A Quick Thought About Finding Faith
Sometimes, when I speak what I think is the truth, it sounds a little bit sarcastic. This might be one of those times.
Remember young Natalie Wood in the movie, “Miracle on 34th Street?” After she doesn’t get what she wants for Christmas, she is disappointed in Kris Kringle and has lost faith in all that he represented. Her mother (Maureen O’Hara), tries to encourage her by saying, “Faith is believing in things when common sense tells you not to.” (Hebrews 11:1).
If that’s true, and I believe it is, it occurs to me that there is a definite lack of common sense these days, so maybe, for some, that will make finding faith a little easier?
